How-To Decade (Steps)
- Roll forward at low speed standing with both feet on the rear
pegs and holding the handlebars
- Squeeze the front and rear brakes hard and do a small endo
of maybe 8 to 10 inches (aided by the momentum of the forward roll). The brakes must be applied throughout the trick
- As your bike's rear wheel leaves the ground, lift your right
foot and place it where the top tube and the seat tube meet
- When the rear wheel comes back to the ground, pull the
front end of the bike upwards and toward you (aided by the momentum from the endo)
- Start to jump around the top of the bike (the headset, at this
point, since your front wheel is in the air) using only your right foot. Don't jump off the peg with your left foot, you only need to swing the left leg around the top
- Land on the other side of the bike with your left foot
anywhere on the top tube
- Once the front wheel is back on the ground, release both
brakes to allow for a slight roll, put your right foot on your right pedal and ride away!

Funny how some tricks just keep finding
their way back to Trick of the Month. I know
there are alot of you here that can do this
trick...so lets see a current picture of your
decade or variation.
Still trying to land it though
Not really a decade but looks the same
except the wheel that's on the ground is the
front one. Nosewheelie to 720 boomerang.
I know it's photoshopped but essentially
it's still a decade.. no brakes.
Evin - Mid Decade
Here's one of my few "in action" BMX photos-
mid decade.
This isn't a current pic, but I can still do 'em....
Decade kickturn
I have no current photos of me, although I
think I can still pull one. Maybe I'll have
someone try to get one later. Here's one of
my friend Joe on my Haro in '91.
