The Freestyle Session @ the SLAB went down in History. It had been a
very long time since a group of Texas Flatlanders gathered as a unit to
kick back and session in San Antonio, Texas. The Jam was the hosted
by Diego Tajada. with the help from Hector Garcia and the BYKE
Project. We had riders from several parts of Texas arrive to show of
some new flatland skills and some of our favorite tricks. The Austin
Flatland Crew was there in Great numbers along with Dallas,Houston,
San Antonio and Louisiana. Spectators were all around and passers
by honked horns as the session went on through the day.
The Pit was lite and we were able to eat and drink and be merry.
After a long day of riding, but that was not the end of the day. Some of
they guys came up with a Idea to have a Battle. Each rider that
participated gave $5 bucks in a winner take all event. The judgment
was by applause so spectators had a voice too. The riders were Kenny
Boucher, David Weathersby, Rodney Williams, Adam DiClaudio and
Diego Tajada. The Battle was on and the crowd picked Deigo Tajada
to win the Battle and take home the $25 Bucks. It was great to watch
everyone going for all of there hard tricks and trying to top each other.
The days events ended with several bike brawls. Just for fun to see
who could stay on the bike and not fall off, while trying to knock down
other riders. I think a few people got a little banged up but it was all in
fun and it was a great way to end the night.. Big Thanks to our DJ who
kept the tunes playing day long. Music really can keep things hyped.

organizing us to help promote our sport of Flatland. Thanks to
everyone who help set up and break down and cooked and cleaned
up. Because events can't happen with out your help.
